Exhibition and Games
Hydrogen Zero Carbon STEAM Carnival is the first-ever hydrogen-themed event which aims to engage and inspire youngsters by showcasing the progress and potential of hydrogen development in an interactive manner through the hydrogen-themed event.
There are more than 15 activity booths on site, demonstrating the latest developments in hydrogen energy technology. There are also interactive games that allow adults and children to interact with innovative technologies, raising the public's awareness of hydrogen energy.

New Look of the Hydrogen Fuelled Street Washing Vehicle
Since vehicles using hydrogen energy do not produce carbon emissions during operation and the refueling time is similar to that of traditional fuels, it is very suitable for use in heavy-duty transportation, especially buses and heavy vehicles, to achieve the green transformation of these vehicles, which will ultimately help Hong Kong achieve carbon neutrality.
Therefore, the government is preparing Hydrogen Fuelled Street Washing Vehicle Pilot Project. The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department will introduce three hydrogen fuelled street washing vehicles to the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department for street cleaning purpose.
At the end of 2024, the "Hydrogen Fuelled Street Washing Vehicle Naming and Drawing Contest" was organised. The champions’ works of the lower primary, upper primary, and secondary categories were chosen for the exterior design. Now, the vehicles in new costumes have arrived in Hong Kong and will be displayed at the " Hydrogen Zero Carbon STEAM Carnival " together with other excellent vehicle designs.
